LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Mugs raised in celebration of the season were also lifted for a good local cause in Lake George this month. On Tuesday morning, Adirondack Pub & Brewery announced nearly $11,000 raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks over the course of this year's Lake George Oktoberfest celebrations. WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Haru Japanese Steakhouse has opened its doors in Wilton. The restaurant is in the former Golden Corral space at 15 Old Gick Road, across from Walmart. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Haru officially opened on October 19. The restaurant is owned by Tehen Yu, who also owns Koto Japanese Restaurant in Colonie. Golden Corral in Wilton closed at the beginning of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and never reopened. The Haru menu includes sushi, hibachi, fried rice, noodle and meat dishes, bubble tea, and more. You can view the full menu on the Haru website. A man faces DUI and child endangerment charges after he reported that a child had gone missing from his vehicle while he was in a supermarket in Mansfield on Monday only to later learn he had left the juvenile at home.The child was reported missing by 30-year-old Colby Parker of Mansfield sometime around 8:18 p.m. at the Price Chopper located at 1220 Storrs Road, according to Connecticut State Police.Troopers combed the area along with officers from the UConn and Coventry Police Departments during a search that included K-9 units as well as employees of Price Chopper, state police said.
